Heating and Cooling System – service and maintenance
Did you know that most heating and cooling appliances, including furnaces, water heaters, and air conditioning units require periodic service and maintenance for optimum performance? Most installers will place a service record sticker on the side of your furnace, water heater, or other appliance after installation. This should show a record of the service and maintenance that has been performed on your unit. It could also indicate how often service is recommended for your particular appliance. If you can’t find service recommendations on your appliance, our technician will be able to help you determine whether your unit is due. Completing these recommended services can help prolong the life of your furnace or water heater, and prevent unnecessary repairs.
Should you repair or replace your heating and air conditioning systems?
Even with regular maintenance, your heating and cooling appliances could require repair throughout their life. If your furnace, boiler system, water heater, or air conditioning unit stops working, or seem to not be working as designed, our VanDiermen and Sons Heating and Air Conditioning technicians will perform a diagnostic test to determine whether a repair is necessary or possible. In some cases, replacement will be the recommended option, as all units do have a limited life expectancy. However, in many cases, repair can be a more cost effective option that can return your appliance back to optimum working condition.
